If you are looking for a day out that “offers something for the whole family”, you might want to visit St Ives Country Park.
A trip to a country park is an easy and cheap way to keep your children entertained over the weekend.
Found in Bingley, the park is just a short 29-minute drive away from Bradford.
The park is the largest in the district and has 217 hectares of woodland to explore.

What can I do at St Ives Country Park?
Described as “the perfect destination for people who want to spend time in nature”, St Ives Country Park has a range of circular walking trails and routes for cyclists to follow.
While walking around the park, you should look out for the different birds that call the area home, from crows and jackdaws to buzzards, grey partridges and woodpeckers.
No matter when you visit the park, it will always be packed with a range of plants, from bluebells in the spring to ferns in the summer.
For children, there is a huge playground with different equipment for them to let off some steam, including a zip line, climbing frames, a tunnel slide and tyre swings.
If you are often in the area, you can join the Bingley Angling Club to be able to go fishing at Coppice Pond or try out some archery with the Aire Valley Archers.
If you want to keep the cost of your trip low, you can enjoy a picnic in the park, or if you fancy treating yourself, you can stop off at the Ivy Kitchen.
At the café, you can grab a hot coffee and baked goods, from brownies and scones to a slice of cake.
