A housebuilder is highlighting a range of schemes aimed at helping more buyers get onto, or move up, the property ladder at a County Durham development.
David Wilson Homes is offering support at The Oval, part of the Old Durham Gate development, where three and four-bedroom homes are currently available starting from £229,995.
Schemes are in place to assist a variety of buyers, including existing homeowners, key workers, and members of the Armed Forces.
Steven Ball, sales director at David Wilson Homes North East, said: "We understand that moving home can feel challenging, whether you're trying to save for a deposit, sell your current property or secure your next family home.

"That's why we've introduced a range of schemes designed to make moving easier and more affordable.
"We invite property seekers to visit the development, explore our range of homes and speak with our sales advisers, who can provide more information on the schemes currently available and help buyers find the right home for them."
One of the main incentives on offer is the developer’s part exchange scheme, which guarantees the sale of a buyer’s existing property and removes the stress of a property chain.
Key workers can also benefit from the Key Worker Deposit Contribution Scheme.
This scheme allows eligible buyers to receive a contribution of up to five per cent towards their deposit on selected new homes. Eligible sectors include the NHS, education, police, fire service, Ministry of Defence, environmental services, National Highways, Transport Scotland, Transport for Wales, probation services, local authorities and prison services.
The scheme is also available to foster carers, social workers, nursery workers, care home workers and pharmacists.
Selected homes at the development also come with a five per cent deposit boost, upgraded kitchens, and included flooring.
In recognition of service, members of the Armed Forces can access the Armed Forces Deposit Contribution Scheme, which provides extra support towards their deposit.
The Oval is located close to Durham’s city centre and offers easy access to shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
