A Bishop Auckland woman has been fined and ordered to pay compensation after admitting assaulting five police officers during an incident.
Molly Brown, 25, of Gurney Valley, Close House, assaulted several officers in Bishop Auckland on January 18, Peterlee Magistrates' Court heard.
On August 17, Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting a PC by beating her. She was ordered to pay £100 compensation.
Brown also admitted assaulting constables four officers. She was fined £200 for assaulting the one officer, while £50 compensation was awarded to another officers.
No separate penalties were imposed for the offences involving two further officers.
In addition to the fine and compensation, Brown was ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
The court directed that the sums be deducted from her benefits under a collection order.
