Two charged after six people discovered in lorry in East Yorkshire

Police have charged two people after a discovery in Goole.

A man and a woman have been charged following the discovery of six people inside a lorry on Anderson Road in the town.

Florin Anghel, 27-years-old who identifies as Italian, and Tita Istrate, 24-years-old who identifies as Romanian have been charged with doing an act to facilitate the commission of a breach of UK immigrational law by a non-UK national.

Both have been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “On Tuesday (18 August), officers attended Anderson Road in Goole, where six people were detained under the immigration act.”
