A WELL-ESTABLISHED nursery has been sold to a growing childcare group.
The Willows Day Nursery near Brighouse in West Yorkshire, which has operated since 1995 and is rated 'Good' by Ofsted, has been acquired by Lion Cubs Nurseries through a sale managed by Christie & Co.
The setting, which cares for up to 92 children aged up to five, was sold by outgoing owner John Cunnington, who had run the business since 2017.
Pierre-Antoine Tisseau, CEO at Lion Cubs Nurseries, said: "We were attracted by the longstanding track record of quality and care delivered by the experienced team at The Willows, with a real family feel, and providing outstanding childcare to the local community.
"This made The Willows a great fit for our growing family of nurseries.
"We are grateful that John chose us to carry on the legacy of this longstanding nursery and look forward to continuing building on these strong foundations."
The sale was handled by Grace Day, senior business agent for childcare and education at Christie & Co.
Ms Day said: "After just three months on the market, John accepted an offer from Lion Cubs Nurseries.
"The sale generated significant buyer interest and several competitive offers."
