Three women from the North East have been arrested on suspicion of shoplifting after allegedly targeting stores in North Yorkshire.
Following a report of a suspected shop theft in Northallerton on Wednesday (August 19), officers from North Yorkshire Police worked to track down those responsible.
It was reported that two women entered the Superdrug store on the High Street, filled their bags with cosmetics, and left without paying.

They were believed to have got into a black Toyota Aygo, which was then driven away by a third person.
Officers located it at St James Retail Park in Knaresborough a short time later.
Three women aged 51, 38 and 31, from the North East, were arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop.
They have all been released on conditional bail while our investigation continues.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Retail crime remains a priority for North Yorkshire Police because of the impact it has on local businesses and our communities.
