One of North Yorkshire's biggest celebrations of food, drink and family entertainment is set to return with a fresh line-up of activities and businesses.
The Harrogate Food and Drink Festival returns this weekend at the Ripley Castle estate in Harrogate, taking place on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23.
Now in its seventh event, the festival promises its biggest programme yet, featuring new activities, expanded family entertainment, and a fourth live stage.
Organisers have described the 2026 event as the most exciting programme to date.
There will be four live stages, more than 80 independent traders, and activities for all ages.
New for this year is the Sizzling Showdown Arena, hosted by comedian Neil Frost and sponsored by Pure Pet Food.
The arena will feature four free live shows between 12.30pm and 4.30pm, including The Foodie Olympics, Wally Woof’s Family Dog Show, The Chilli Challenge, and Pies Down, Eyes Down Bingo.
The Main Stage will feature a full line-up of regional talent, including solo artists, community groups, and live bands.
Fleetwood Shack, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, will headline on Saturday night.
The Freddie & Queen Experience will top the bill on Sunday.
The Cookery Theatre, hosted by new compere Stephanie Moon, will present 10 live demonstrations from renowned chefs, business owners, and Great British Menu competitors.
Family-friendly entertainment will be found on the Entertainers Stage, with comedy, puppetry, and variety acts.
Matthew J Magic, Kimmo, and Graeme Shaw will perform.
Free circus skills workshops will run between shows.
More than 85 independent businesses will take part in the Artisan Markets.
Eight bars will offer a wide range of drinks. Harrogate Mind is this year’s charity partner.
Organisers hope to build on the £187,000 already raised for Mind charities across England.
The Street Food Arena will feature 22 vendors serving global cuisine.
The Soldiers Ale House, in partnership with Vocation Brewery, will offer cask ales and IPAs.
Family attractions include Axes to Ashes axe throwing, the Viking Heritage Kitchen, Focusing Events target paintball, and Within Range Airsoft.

Children can take part in the Foodie Clue Quest Scavenger Hunt or get creative in the Scribble Tent.
Other highlights include Ian’s Mobile Farm, classic carnival rides, bubble shows with Memorabubble, and a live improv performance by The Discount Comedy Checkout.
