A SPECIALIST coffee shop in North Yorkshire has applied for a new licence from the council.
The top-rated Forge Valley Roasters Brew Bar in Scarborough is seeking a licence from North Yorkshire Council for outdoor seating and tables.
The business in Huntriss Row, in the town centre, “blends world-class speciality coffee with genuine Yorkshire hospitality”.
The business uses “top-of-the-line Victoria Arduino and Mahlkonig equipment to expertly prepare our meticulously roasted speciality coffee”.
FVR Brew Bars Ltd’s plan would see three tables and six chairs placed outside the business on the pavement.

Members of the public wishing to comment on the plans have been invited to contact the licensing authority no later than Tuesday, August 25.
In addition to the site at Huntriss Row, Forge Valley Roasters also serves coffee at The Kitchen at The Hillyard within the Dawnay Estates in Wykeham.

The business’ website states: “You can not only enjoy our handcrafted espresso drinks and seasonal blends but also purchase your favourite beans to take home—we’ll gladly grind them for you if required.”
