Preparations are well underway for this year’s Fangfest.
The annual festival of the practical arts will be held in the village of Fangfoss, 10 miles east of York, on September 5 and 6.
Fangfest showcases the best of crafts and arts throughout the region, celebrating creativity and offering a variety of attractions for all ages.
More than 30 craftspeople and artists will be exhibiting and demonstrating their skills, including woodworking, willow weaving, printing, painting, textiles, jewellery, and metalwork.
Gerry Grant of Fangfoss Pottery will demonstrate pottery-making techniques, including a raku firing demonstration.
Free activities and workshops will run throughout the weekend, including willow weaving, paper crafting, circus skills, and pottery.
Four ticketed workshops will be available, including mosaic skills, needle felting, printmaking, and knife carving.
St Martin’s Church will host a flower festival with the theme "Holidays."
Visitors can also enjoy a Teddy Trail, archery, and the Wibble Jelly Games.
The Stamford Bridge Heritage Society and Butterfly Conservation will also have displays.
Live music and refreshments will be available on the Village Green.
The festival runs from 10am to 4pm on both days, with free entry and £2 car parking at Fangfoss School.
