Inside Fogo de Chão Leeds as Brazilian steakhouse enters a new era

Fogo de Chão Leeds (formerly Fazenda) – inside the Brazilian steakhouse serving up a Churrasco Experience

This Brazilian steakhouse brings a taste of southern Brazil to Leeds, as Granary Wharf's Fogo de Chão (formerly Fazenda) serves up authentic Churrasco.

A much-loved Brazilian steakhouse in Leeds has entered a new chapter after Fazenda joined the world-leading Brazilian steakhouse group Fogo de Chão in May, bringing one of the world’s best-known Churrasco dining experiences to the heart of Granary Wharf.

For diners, the name may have changed – but the real attraction remains the food. Fogo de Chão is renowned for its authentic Brazilian Churrasco Experience, where expertly grilled meats are brought directly to the table and carved by skilled gaúcho chefs, creating a theatrical, relaxed and thoroughly indulgent meal.

Founded in Southern Brazil in 1979, Fogo de Chão has grown into a globally recognised restaurant group, with its roots firmly planted in the traditional grilling culture of the Serra Gaúcha.

The founders grew up on a traditional Southern Brazilian farm, where they learned the Churrasco grilling techniques that would eventually become the foundation of the Fogo de Chão story.

That heritage is alive and well in Leeds – with diners at the Granary Wharf restaurant able to enjoy continuous tableside service of premium cuts, cooked to their preference and carved in front of them.

It is an experience designed around choice. Guests can take their time, deciding which cuts they fancy as the gaúcho chefs make their way around the restaurant, serving freshly grilled meat straight from the skewer.

But it is not all about the meat

A vibrant Market Table provides a colourful counterpoint, packed with seasonal salads, fresh vegetables, cured meats, cheeses and Brazilian-inspired dishes. Drawing inspiration from the farmlands and traditional recipes of Southern Brazil, it gives diners plenty of opportunity to try a vast variety of dishes throughout their meal.

The result is a dining experience that feels as much about the occasion as the food – whether it is a relaxed lunch, a business meal, a date night or a big celebration.

Set beside the River Aire, Fogo de Chão Leeds combines warm, considered interiors with the energy of traditional rodizio-style service. Its Granary Wharf location also makes it an appealing choice for groups, with extensive private dining and events facilities.

Two private dining rooms feature alongside a larger private dining and events space, offering options for everything from corporate gatherings and business dining to exclusive hire and celebrations.

Churrasco takes centre stage

For anyone who enjoys a proper steakhouse experience, the combination of premium grilled meats, tableside carving, fresh Market Table dishes and Brazilian hospitality offers something rather different from the standard city-centre meal.

With Fazenda now becoming part of the Fogo de Chão family, Leeds diners can experience a restaurant brand with more than four decades of Brazilian grilling heritage behind it – and, most importantly, plenty of expertly cooked meat to savour along the way.

Fogo Leeds General Manager Sara Ferreira said: “We're still the same restaurant our Leeds regulars know and love — just under a new name. The Churrasco Experience, the team and the welcome are exactly as you remember.”
