Goole firm supports major energy project with rapid turbine repairs

A major energy project in the Netherlands is being supported by the rapid work of a Yorkshire engineering firm.
Goole-based Salko UK completed critical maintenance on gas turbine exhaust systems at the Maxima Centrale site in just 37 days, working in partnership with ENGIE.
A 13-strong team from Salko UK delivered repairs across three exhaust gas housings and diffusers, helping to restore the unit for optimal efficiency and performance to prepare the site for operation at the end of the year.
Sim Sharphouse, operations manager at Salko UK, said: "We’re proud to have successfully delivered this vital project in just 37 days.
"Our team’s expertise ensured all units were repaired to the highest standard, supporting the project as it prepares for operation."
Salko UK was selected for the project due to its extensive experience in gas turbine exhaust systems, including comprehensive repairs and liner replacements.

The Maxima Centrale site is expected to come online at the end of the year.
