Police are investigating after a man was racially abused in York city centre.
It happened on Piccadilly at around9pm lastThursday, 13 August.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A driver of a large white van was subjected to racial abuse, and the vehicle they were driving was damaged by a man.”

A 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
He was later released under investigation while police enquiries continue.
Police say several members of the public were in the area at the time.
They’re asking anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage, or has any information that could assist the investigation to get in touch.
