12 RARE Beatrix Potter 50p coins has been listed on eBay for more than £25,000.
The group includes coins featuring some of the author's best-known characters, including Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Squirrel Nutkin, Benjamin Bunny, Tom Kitten and Mr Jeremy Fisher.
They are on sale for £25,086.70.
Also pictured is a 2016 coin commemorating the 150th anniversary of Beatrix Potter's birth.
At face value, the 12 coins add up to £6, making the seller's Buy It Now price more than 4,000 times their spendable value.
The listing is also open to offers and says the coins were issued in 2016, although the pictured group appears to include later designs from the wider Beatrix Potter 50p series.
The Beatrix Potter coins have become popular with collectors since the Royal Mint began releasing the designs in 2016 to mark 150 years since the author’s birth.
Jemima Puddle-Duck is among the lower-mintage circulation coins in the original series, with 2.1 million produced. However, values can vary widely depending on a coin's condition, whether it is a special collector edition, and demand among buyers.
The eBay listing's five-figure figure represents the seller's asking price, rather than a confirmed sale value.
