A ROAD will be closed temporarily for electrical works.

Bowling Old Lane in Bradford will shut from outside Dixons Sixth Form College to its junction with Stone Arches tomorrow, August 21, at 9.30am and will reopen on August 24, at 6pm.

However, the road closure could last for as long as 18 months if necessary.

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council has made the order to prohibit traffic in the area while the work is being carried out.

Vehicles involved in the works will still be able to access the road, and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for affected vehicles will be available via the unaffected section of Bowling Old Lane, Gaythorne Road, St Stephens Road, and Manchester Road.

The Council's Director of Legal and Governance issued the notice on August 20, from City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY.
