CITY fans tonight make the first journey of a near 6,000-mile League One odyssey.
The opening away game at Sheffield Wednesday is one of the shortest trips on the 2026/27 calendar that will see the Bantams cover a total distance of 5,888 miles.
That’s the fifth longest in the division, although nearly half the amount facing Plymouth, who will travel 11,120 over the season.
According to figures compiled by Select Car Leasing, City fans travelling to every away game will fork out £1,000.96 in petrol or £382.72.
Advance train tickets to each away trip will set you back £1,766.40.
Leicester have the shortest distance to travel at 4,066 miles – working out at just over £300 cheaper in filling up the car.
