Restaurants, cinemas and retailers across the North East are treating youngsters to exclusive offers to mark the milestone, regardless of their results.
Nando's
Nando’s restaurants across the North East are offering a free quarter chicken or starter with a minimum spend of £7.
All you have to do is show your GCSE results letter to staff.
TGI Fridays
TGI Fridays is giving away a complimentary 'dirty soda' - a customised soft drink with syrups, juice and cream.
No other purchase is necessary; just show your results to staff to claim the drink.
Zizzi
Zizzi in Durham, Newcastle and the Metrocentre is treating the first 30 students at each branch to a free classic pizza with the purchase of a soft drink.
After that limit is reached, students can enjoy 50 per cent off a classic pizza alongside a soft drink until 5pm.
Again, all you have to do is show them your GCSE results slip.
Pizza Express
While we are on the subject of pizzas, at Pizza Express, students can enjoy 90 minutes of unlimited pizza and doughballs for £12.50 per person.

Frankie & Benny’s is offering students a free starter and dessert with the purchase of a main adult meal.
Las Iguanas
Las Iguanas, which has a restaurant in Newcastle, is running a similar deal, with a complimentary starter and dessert for students buying a main meal.
Côte Brasserie
Côte Brasserie, which also has a Newcastle restaurant, is giving French GCSE students a free steak frites or vegan burger with the purchase of an adult meal.
All other GCSE students dining at the Newcastle location will receive a free dessert, such as chocolate mousse or crème caramel, with an adult meal.

Wagamama is offering 25 per cent off food and drink with a valid results slip, giving students the chance to enjoy a generous helping on the all-important results day.
