A North East man has been banned from driving for five years after failing to identify the driver of a vehicle involved in an alleged offence.
Lee Markham, 50, of Meadow House, Hallfield Close, Sunderland, failed to provide police with details of a driver linked to a Jeep Grand Cherokee, after being asked by Durham Constabulary.
The request followed an alleged road offence.

Markham did not enter a plea. The case was proven in his absence and he was found guilty on June 22.
On August 17, he received a 60-month driving disqualification and was fined £180, with six notional penalty points endorsed.
He was also ordered to pay £130 in prosecution costs and a £72 victim surcharge.
