ear is an educational twist thanks to a partnership with Kids-Hub, an organisation that helps children learn coding and robotics through play.
Margaux Wild, creator of Kids-Hub, said: "We are so excited to be part of Family Fright Fest for the first time and work with young people on what will be fantastic fun but will also give them a range of useful skills at the same time.
"Because of the time of year and the event we will also be working around a Halloween theme."
The Lego robotics workshops will allow children to design, build and programme interactive Lego models using motors, sensors, lights and coding.
Each session costs £8 per child and can be booked through the Family Fright Fest website.
Initially, two sessions will be available each day.
The hands-on workshops aim to teach children not only the basics of engineering but also digital and problem-solving skills.
Ms Wild said: "There’s a huge educational benefit to what we do and we have seen so many of the children who have worked with us absolutely flourish."
Nigel Holliday, one of the directors of Family Fright Fest and its adult counterpart, Psycho Path, said the team was excited to add another dimension to this year’s experience.
Mr Holliday said: "Every year we try to bring in other element to make a visit to Family Fright Fest even more special.
"We were well aware of the fantastic work that Kids-Hub does and we are thrilled to be able to offer these amazing sessions at this year’s event."

Kids-Hub already works with schools and runs popular summer clubs.
Family Fright Fest will run every weekend from Saturday, October 10, through to Halloween, including Friday, October 30.
