A MAN has been arrested in connection with reported racial abuse in York city centre.
The 37-year-old was detained after a person is alleged to have been racially abuse while driving through Piccadilly at around 9pm on Thursday (August 13).
North Yorkshire Police said: “The vehicle they were driving was damaged by a man.
“A 37 year old male was arrested in connection with this incident and was later released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue
“Several members of the public were in the area at the time.
