Ripon-educated Richard Hammond bought a £1.9 million bachelor pad in Wales earlier this year after his divorce.
Following his divorce from his wife of 28 years, Mindy, and the death of his father, the former Top Gear and Grand Tour star has begun a new chapter.
Mr Hammond, 56, who attended Ripon Grammar School in North Yorkshire as a teenager, paid the agreed price in cash for the Georgian manor house, which boasts six bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a number of luxurious features.

The property, near Abergavenny, comes with a tennis court, an iron-and-glass domed orangery, a wine cellar, and a boating lake.
There are also various rubble-stone outbuildings and a modern double garage.
Just a mile from the market town of Abergavenny, the grand house, which was originally on the market for £2.25 million, sits in 21 acres of manicured gardens.
The home, spread across three floors, is enhanced with Victorian accents and period plasterwork throughout.
It features sash windows with architraves decorated with a Greek key pattern and a cast-iron veranda across the entire façade.
The property also provides ample space for his two adult children, Izzy, who presents a podcast with her dad, and Willow.
Mr Hammond left his former marital home, a Grade-II-listed Bollitree Castle in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, after his split with Mindy in January of last year.
The TV presenter had been renting a farmhouse in the country before buying his new home.
His ex-wife remains in the £7 million 18th-century mock-Gothic castle that they bought together in 2008.
Mr Hammond had converted a listed granary barn on the property into a personal space.
The TV presenter has faced some financial difficulties with his car restoration business, The Smallest Cog, reportedly accruing debts of more than £700,000.
Earlier this year, he auctioned off several of his cars to raise more than £50,000.
The Smallest Cog was run in Hereford, not far from his new home.
