A florist in York is celebrating a hat-trick of honours after a recent national industry award.
Floral Elegance in Acomb received the Interflora Artisan Award for 2026, marking the second consecutive year it has earned the national title.
The independently owned shop has served the community for nearly 25 years and is run by Sue Hunter, who was awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for her services to the York community.
Ms Hunter said: "What a year it has been for Floral Elegance.
"First Emily won Best in Show at Harrogate, then I had the enormous honour of being awarded an MBE, and now the whole team has been recognised with an Interflora Artisan Award for the second year running.
"This one really belongs to everyone at Floral Elegance.
"We have a hugely talented team who care enormously about the flowers we create and the service we give our customers.
"We’ve been part of Acomb for nearly 25 years and have wonderful, loyal customers across York, so to be recognised nationally for the standard of our floristry and customer care means a great deal to us."
This marks the third major honour for the business and its team in 2026.
Florist Emily Lanigan won Best in Show at the Harrogate Flower Show for her Floral Couture creation, while Ms Hunter received her MBE.
Floral Elegance has now retained its Interflora Artisan status for a second year.
The award recognises florists who demonstrate technical skill, creativity, and customer care.

Floral Elegance has served customers across York for more than two decades, providing arrangements for occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, funerals, and corporate events.
The business recently launched workshops to teach floristry skills to the public.
