A York supermarket café is getting a KPop Demon Hunters makeover as part of a nationwide promotion inspired by the Netflix show.

The themed takeover will transform Tesco in Clifton Moor's café.

It is one of six locations across the UK to receive a full redesign, with themed entranceways, counters and furniture, selfie stations, activities, and Korean-inspired menu additions.

James Pavey, director of hospitality at Tesco, said: "We wanted to have some fun in our cafés before the summer finishes and children go back to school.

"Kids love KPop Demon Hunters, which makes it the perfect theme for a takeover, and because we’re running Kids Eat Free, popping in for a bite and a selfie won’t cost the earth."

To mark the launch, the first customers at each of the six cafés will receive a free KPop Demon Hunters goody bag containing a backpack, socks, a book, and a toy.

An additional 135 Tesco Cafés nationwide will offer the themed menu, activities, and selfie stations.

The promotion coincides with Tesco’s 'Kids Eat Free' offer, running seven days a week this summer.

The scheme provides a free child’s meal with any full-priced adult purchase when a Tesco Clubcard is scanned.

Qualifying purchases can be as low as a 65p apple.

KPop Demon Hunters merchandise is also available in-store, including backpacks, water bottles, stationery, t-shirts, trousers, and pyjamas featuring members of HUNTR/X.
