A daytime clubbing event is bringing its feel-good party atmosphere to York.
Day Fever, co-founded by actor Vicky McClure, has become a UK-wide success, promising a daytime dancefloor experience filled with nostalgia, good music, and a welcoming crowd.
The event will take place at York Museum Gardens tomorrow, Friday, August 21 and at York Barbican on October 10.

The concept has taken off across the country, drawing in crowds of all ages and selling out venues nationwide.
Ms McClure said: "Around six months in, it was seeing how, even in the warmer months, people still wanted a Saturday day out to dance.
"It also became a real talking point when I met people. As well as my work, they wanted to talk about Day Fever."

Ms McClure said people now plan their weekends around the event, using it to mark special occasions and life moments.
She said: "I think we've added an option for people to choose Day Fever to celebrate birthdays, hen parties and big personal moments in their lives.
"People know now exactly what to expect with the music, the vibe and atmosphere... it's for everyone."

Day Fever has become known for its inclusive energy, drawing audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Ms McClure said one of the most rewarding outcomes has been seeing the sense of connection the events inspire.
She said: "I think it's the best thing that has come out of Day Fever.
"I know many people who have attended alone and never felt alone, faced some of the darkest times in their lives and felt able to smile again, and not been to a club for 20-plus years and felt like it was only yesterday.
"We have countless powerful stories of humanity at its best from Day Fever and that's something we are all really proud of."
Co-founder Jonny Owen said the team never expected the event to become such a phenomenon.
He said: "If I said now that I believed it would become what it's become then I wouldn't be telling the truth! Ha.
"I mean, who could have predicted this? It's become a phenomenon really, hasn't it?
"It's been lovely to see, of course, but no one really saw just how big."
He believes the secret to Day Fever’s popularity is its simplicity.
He said: "When I thought of it I said to the lads and Vicky it has to just be a great venue with brilliant music. That's it. Don't overthink it."
