Woman appears in court over alleged ‘glassing’ in York city centre

A York woman has appeared in court charged with wounding with intent following an alleged daytime “glassing” in the city centre.

Sarah Ogden, 50, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday) charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and affray.

It’s alleged that Ms Ogden wounded a named woman in St Saviourgate on Monday (17 August).

It’s also alleged that she used or threatened unlawful violence towards another.

Ms Ogden, of James Street, York, did not enter pleas to the charges. Her case was sent to the Crown Court in York where she will appear on 14 September.
