Police imposed a dispersal order in Scarborough last night after a day of trouble from teenagers.
The order covered the town centre, the Old Town and the South Bay seafront and finished at midnight.
It meant anyone told to leave by an officer could have to stay out of the area for up to 48 hours.

It followed many reports of groups of teenagers going into shops causing anti-social behaviour, being intimidating towards staff, refusing to leave and swearing at staff and members of the public.
Inspector Craig Regan of Scarborough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We don’t want to stop children having fun during the summer holidays.
However, we need to prevent anti-social behaviour and potential criminality. We will be reviewing CCTV following the incidents reported to us and should it be required, we will follow up with our multi-agency partners.”
