A YOUNG man was injured after a reported stabbing near a Bradford city centre pub.
The incident happened near The Drum Winder in Ivegate at around 6pm yesterday evening.
An 18-year-old man was rushed to hospital, the force have said.
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Officers were called to reports of a stabbing near The Drum Winder in Ivegate, Bradford, at around 6pm yesterday evening (18 August).
"An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injures."
Police cordon in place yesterday
The incident prompted a significant emergency services response in the city centre, with armed police, paramedics, and crime scene investigators seen at the scene.
A police cordon was put in place on Ivegate near The Drum Winder.
On Wednesday, a spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "Ambulance resources responded to an incident on Ivegate in Bradford yesterday evening (18 August) and one patient was conveyed to hospital."
The Drum Winder issues statement
Earlier in the evening, The Drum Winder sought to reassure customers following the incident.
In a post on Facebook, the pub said: "Just thought to let you know we are all safe as well as our customers from this unfortunate event."
The post added: "This incident has nothing to do with the pub."
