Evri Group, which has its roots in the city of Bradford, has today announced plans to create more than 10,000 new roles across its network.

The recruitment drive includes more than 7,000 self-employed community courier positions and over 2,000 Evri Premium owner-driver opportunities.

Evri, which began life as Grattan Mail Order in Bradford in 1974 with just seven couriers, has grown over the last five decades into a team of 12,000+ employees and 30,000+ self-employed couriers working in their local communities, as well as a growing network of more than 12,000+ ParcelShops and Lockers and 500+ hubs and depots.

The new roles form part of the delivery company’s strategy to strengthen its network ahead of peak season and support long-term growth ambitions.

Carl Lyon, chief operating officer at Evri Group, said: "The Evri Group’s success is built on the dedication and expertise of our people, and by investing in our teams now, we not only prepare ourselves for another busy peak season but also support our future growth plans.

"We are already delivering more than one billion parcels a year, and by strengthening our workforce across both our courier and premium delivery networks, we are putting the steps in place as we build towards our ambition of becoming a 1.4 billion parcel business by 2030."

Evri Group, which completed a merger with DHL eCommerce UK, has seen parcel volumes rise by 17 per cent and is targeting 40 per cent growth to reach 1.4 billion parcels by 2030.

This goal follows a recent investment of more than £80m across its network, infrastructure and technology during FY25/26.

The new roles include more than 7,000 community courier positions, offering flexible, self-employed work delivering parcels in local areas.

These roles are designed to offer regular rounds and earning opportunities close to home.

Evri Premium – A Network of DHL is also recruiting more than 2,000 owner-drivers to support its premium delivery network.

While applicants with access to a large, long-wheel-base van are particularly suited to the role, the brand is now inviting interest from candidates without a van through its new ‘no van, no problem’ proposition.

Evri Group is also hiring for a range of operational and head office roles.

These include locally based support staff to help new couriers succeed through coaching and training, as well as opportunities within its recently launched sales academy.

The Evri Group Sales Academy aims to develop the next generation of sales professionals through structured onboarding and learning programmes.

Additional benefits for successful applicants include access to Onsi, the company’s flexible benefits platform, offering early access to pay, 24/7 GP appointments and shopping discounts.

Eligible couriers can also take advantage of Evri’s ‘Go Electric’ scheme, which provides a £3,300 contribution over two years toward the cost of an electric vehicle.
