A NIGHT out in Barcelona led to a life-changing decision for one student.
Chance Ismail, 26, applied through Clearing for a place on the BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) programme at the University of Bradford while on holiday in Spain.
Ms Ismail said: "This time last year, I went through Clearing while I was on holiday.
"I was in Barcelona and I had just been out clubbing.
"I definitely knew what I wanted to do.
"I went through the UCAS Clearing website.
"I heard from the University of Bradford while I was still on holiday.
"Clearing was a quick and easy process.
"Once I decided to do it, it was really easy.
"I wanted to come to Bradford to study."

After a successful interview, she began her studies in September.
In her first year, Ms Ismail completed a six-week placement on the female surgical ward at Airedale General Hospital, working 12-and-a-half-hour shifts.
She said the experience helped her see the reality of nursing.
Before university, Ms Ismail spent four years working as a carer and later as a senior care worker during the Covid-19 pandemic.
She said: "It was very upsetting watching some of the service users not being able to see their families.
"Some of them were very lonely.
"It was hard work being a carer in a home during the pandemic, but I did enjoy it."
A conversation with two nurses during her time in care inspired her to apply for the Adult Nursing programme at Bradford.
She encouraged others considering the same path to take the leap.
Ms Ismail said: "It's a very easy process.
"If you really want it, just go for it."
The University of Bradford currently has places available through Clearing for its nursing programmes, including Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and MNurse routes which offer dual qualification.
Prospective students can meet university staff in person at The Broadway shopping centre in Bradford on Saturday, August 22 from 10am to 4pm.
Bradford’s nursing programmes offer hands-on learning in a clinical practice room designed to replicate a hospital ward.
The university recently won the Student Nursing Times Award for Partnership of the Year for the second year in a row.
All student nurses at the university have received training in the use of naloxone, a medication that can reverse opiate overdoses.
Nursing programmes are available through Clearing until October 9.
