A CHARITY shop is preparing to close its doors for the final time.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop on Cooke Lane in Keighley will close on Saturday, August 29, as part of the charity’s efforts to ensure its retail network remains commercially sustainable.
Tracey Jeffels, area manager at the British Heart Foundation, said: "We would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone in Keighley who has supported our shop over the years and helped us raise vital funds for cardiovascular research.
"Our shop has been so much more than a place to shop.
"It has been a valued part of the local community, providing a place for people to volunteer, generously donate and for our lovely loyal customers to shop.
"They’ve all helped make a real difference."
The closure is part of the charity’s efforts to ensure its network of shops remains commercially sustainable.
Ms Jeffels said: "We are enormously grateful for the support we have received and while our shop will close soon, we hope everyone will continue supporting the British Heart Foundation by shopping, donating or volunteering in our other shops."
In its final weeks, the team hopes to see familiar faces and welcome new visitors.
Ms Jeffels added: "With lots of great finds still available, you can still pick up a bargain and help us fund research."
Donations can still be made at other BHF shops, through donation points, the home collection service, and the charity’s online post-to-donate option.
Supporters can use the shop finder tool on the BHF website to locate their nearest store.
Supporters are encouraged to continue backing the British Heart Foundation by shopping at, donating to, or volunteering in other locations.
