A COMMUNITY event promoting runner safety and bike security is set to take place in Shipley this month.
The event will be held at Hirst Wood tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19, from 3pm to 6pm.
Residents can access a range of support, including safety advice, information on the JogOn campaign, and a free BikeRegister marking service.
West Yorkshire Police said: "Everyone has the right to feel safe while exercising.
"Behaviour such as shouting at runners, making inappropriate comments, or acting in an intimidating manner is never acceptable and can have a significant impact on how safe and confident people feel when out enjoying their run."
The JogOn campaign raises awareness of the harassment and abuse experienced by female runners.
It is being organised in partnership with the Canal and River Trust to offer information and resources to the public.
