A SUMMER of fun could be just a ticket away for families in need of a budget-friendly day out.

Bradford parents have the chance to win free admission to some of the UK’s biggest events and exhibitions through a prize draw organised by Birmingham’s NEC.

The giveaway was launched after research revealed that parents typically reach “breaking point” just 19 days into the school holidays.

Sarah Harvey, deputy CEO at the NEC, said: "Six weeks of summer can feel endless when you’re juggling work, childcare and rising costs, and our research shows just how quickly parents can run out of ideas.

"We wanted to give families in Bradford a chance to enjoy brilliant days out together without worrying about the spend, which is why we’re offering a limited number of free tickets.

"It’s our way of helping parents reclaim that final weekend of the summer to have some fun before the kids go back to school."

Attractions include PEPPA PIG Space Adventure, Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition, and the Gladiator Experience.

Families who don’t win tickets can still enjoy NEC Lakeside — a free outdoor cinema and play area, open daily throughout the summer.
