A car was "purposely" driven into the shutters of a hair salon before offenders reportedly fled the scene.
Emergency services were called to the Queen B Hair and Beauty Clinic on Hylton Road, Sunderland, at around 10.30pm on Sunday, August 16.
Northumbria Police said the vehicle caused "significant damage" to the salon, which specialises in hair loss treatment.

It was reported that the car was purposely driven into the shutters of the salon, causing significant damage.
Those responsible reportedly left the scene in a different vehicle, without entering the premises.
Emergency services attended the scene, where a cordon was put up.
A spokesperson for the force said: "At about 10.30pm (Sunday) we received a report of criminal damage at a premises on Hylton Road in the Millfield area of Sunderland.
"It was reported that a vehicle had been purposely driven into the shutters of the premises, causing significant damage.
"The offenders are then reported to have left the scene in a different vehicle without gaining entry to the premises.
"No-one is reported to have been injured in the incident and enquiries are ongoing."

Northumbria Police have appealed for witnesses and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service (TWFRS) also attended the scene.
A spokesman for the service said: "The call came in to our Control Room team at 22.26 and two crews from our Sunderland Central Community Fire Station were dispatched to the Millfield area."

They added: "The incident involved an RTC in which a vehicle had collided with a business premises.
"Firefighters made the scene safe before leaving shortly after 23:15."
