A hit stage musical based on a popular cult film is set to head to Darlington as part of a UK tour following a summer run in London's West End.
Heathers The Musical will play at Darlington Hippodrome for a limited run from September 22 to 26, bringing its darkly comic story of high school drama, revenge, and teen angst.
Based on the film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, the show follows Veronica Sawyer, a high school nobody who is taken under the wings of the three beautiful and impossibly cruel Heathers.

That is, until J.D., the mysterious teen rebel, turns up and teaches her that it might kill to be a nobody, but it’s murder being a somebody…
The musical premiered in Los Angeles in 2013 before transferring to New York’s New World Stages in 2014.
It was reimagined for its 2018 London debut with new songs and an updated script.

Since then, Heathers has enjoyed three West End runs and three record-breaking UK and Ireland tours.
