Classic British comedy shows are making a comeback on UK television for free, with one returning to screens for the first time in over 10 years.
In September, Rewind TV will dedicate the month to four popular series.
It will bring back a line-up of much-loved shows, including Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Time Gentlemen Please, Grumpy Old Men, and Doctor at Sea.
Harry Hill’s TV Burp returns to UK screens for the first time since it finished in 2012, headlining the channel’s comedy revival.

Jonathan Moore, co-founder of Rewind TV, said: "Bringing back programmes viewers simply haven’t had the chance to enjoy for years is what Rewind TV is all about.
"We’re especially delighted to welcome Harry Hill’s TV Burp back to UK television after more than a decade, alongside much-loved favourites including Time Gentlemen Please, Grumpy Old Men and Doctor at Sea."
Rewind TV’s comedy line-up follows its August focus on cult horror programming.
All four shows will air on the channel from early September, with the dates as follows:
- Time Gentlemen Please starts September 3 at 9.30pm
- Grumpy Old Men starts September 6 at 9.30pm
- Harry Hill’s TV Burp starts September 7 at 7pm, with each episode repeated the following day at 1pm
- Doctor at Sea starts September 11 at 10am and 8pm
Harry Hill's TV Burp is a notable return, with it back on UK screens for the first time in more than a decade.
The comedy clip show saw the comedian look at a previous week's schedule of television programming across a range of genres, with episodes often featuring sketches and parodied scenes.
It ran on ITV for 11 years from 2001 to 2012 and won three BAFTAs along the way, plus a shelf of British Comedy Awards.
