Two men have denied starting a fire with intent to endanger the lives of a Pickering man and his family.
Davie Lee Knight, 27, of Low Pasture Close, Pickering, and Christopher Terry, 39, of Marshall Drive, Pickering, appeared together before York Crown Court for a trial and plea preparation hearing.
They both denied arson to a house front door with intent to endanger the life of the family on July 19.
Terry also denied a charge of dangerous driving on the same date.
The case was adjourned until September 8 for a further hearing and a trial date set for December 7.
Both men appeared in court via a video link from Hull Prison where they are being held on remand and both were remanded in custody until September 8.
