POLICE have carried out specialist patrols to detect vehicles sporting false registration plates in a Bradford area.
The action came after an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera on Birkland Street in BD3 identified suspected ghost plates, particularly during Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
On Sunday, August 2, PCSO colleagues targeted the area with specialist equipment.
They also liaised with Bradford Council staff to discuss concerns and gather more information.
The patrols are part of a wider initiative to curb vehicle-related crime, enhance road safety, and reassure locals.
Residents are urged to report any suspicious activities in their areas.
West Yorkshire Police said: "We will continue to work with partner agencies and carry out targeted patrols where concerns are identified.
