NATURE, creativity and community are helping support mental health recovery thanks to a partnership with an NHS trust.
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has teamed up with Morley Glass to support therapeutic projects, including allotments and nature-based art, for people using its mental health services.
Morley Glass has funded the installation of new planters at the trust’s allotments, giving service users more space to grow fruit and vegetables.
Joe Courtney, Green Therapy Project Development Officer at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Our partnership with Morley Glass demonstrates the incredible impact that local businesses can have on the health and wellbeing of their communities.
"Their ongoing support has helped us create opportunities that go far beyond clinical care, enabling people to spend time outdoors, learn new skills, build confidence and make meaningful connections with others."
Morley Glass also continues to fund ‘The Pieces Project’, an art charity that attend the Trusts allotment once a month to run a nature artwork project for people accessing mental health services.
