American indie rock favourites We Are Scientists are set to return to the North East this summer as they celebrate 20 years since the release of the album that helped define a generation of guitar music.
The New York band will play KU Stockton on Saturday, August 29, as part of their UK festival tour, two decades since their breakout album With Love and Squalor.
Known for their lively stage presence, Murray and Cain have built a reputation for combining energetic performances with off-the-cuff comedy and banter.
An event spokesperson from KU Stockton said: “We’re absolutely over the moon to welcome such an iconic band from the American indie and alternative rock scene as We Are Scientists to Stockton for what promises to be one of the shows of the year.
“The band made a huge impact in the mid-2000s with their infectious guitar riffs, sharp song writing and trademark humour, and bringing them to Stockton is another example of the calibre of international touring acts choosing KU as a destination.

The show runs from 7pm to 10.30pm and is open to fans aged 14 and above, though under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
