A 12-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car.
The crash happened on Doxford Park Way, Sunderland, at around 6.50pm on Tuesday, August 11.
The boy was crossing the westbound carriageway near the Morrisons store when he was hit by a white Vauxhall Mokka and sustained life-threatening injuries.

A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "Emergency services attended the scene and the boy was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
"He remains in hospital in a critical condition."
The driver of the Vauxhall - a woman in her 40s - remained at the scene to assist officers with their enquiries.
Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward, especially those who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision.
A spokesperson said: "Officers are investigating the collision and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
"They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of the moments leading up to the boy being struck by the vehicle."
