A busy road has been shut in both directions following a sewer collapse.
An emergency road closure is currently in place on the A139 Norton Road in Stockton.
Stockton Borough Council closed the southbound side of the road at 5pm yesterday (August 17) but, in an update at 9.30pm last night, it said the northbound carriageway was also shut.
Diversions are now in place, with the authority saying Northumbrian Water is leading on the works.
