What will the weather be like in the North East today?
Today is set to be mostly dry to start with variable cloud.
The Met Office predicts it will be dry throughout the afternoon with bright of sunny spells with any showers confined to the fair west. It will be breezy, especially over the hills.
Maximum temperature will be 21 °C.
Tonight, it will become cloudier through this evening with a band of rain pushing through overnight, followed by showers. It will be breezy and feeling less mild.
Minimum temperature is expected to be 11 °C.
