Middlesbrough Little Theatre Limited on The Avenue, Linthorpe, submitted the application to Middlesbrough Council Licensing Authority on August 10.
The theatre is seeking permission for a range of activities, including the performance of plays between 7pm and 11pm daily, and live music from 7pm to 11pm from Sunday to Thursday, with extended hours until 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
The application also covers recorded music from 6pm to 10.30pm from Monday to Thursday, 5pm to 10.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12pm to 10.30pm on Sundays.
Additionally, the theatre is seeking authorisation for the sale of alcohol on the premises from 11am to midnight each day.
Non-standard timings for the sale of alcohol have also been proposed for special occasions and bank holidays.
These include Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, Easter Monday, and bank holidays, when alcohol could be sold from 5pm until 12.30am.

On Christmas Day, the theatre is seeking permission to serve alcohol from 11.45am to 3pm.
The application is open to public representations, which can be made in writing or via email to the Middlesbrough Council Licensing Office.
All representations must be submitted by Monday, September 7.
The application can be viewed on the Middlesbrough Council's website or inspected at the council's licensing office at Fountain Court, Grange Road, Middlesbrough.
