Harrogate school to launch new tailor-made pre-school with 'wraparound care' from 7.30am to 6pm

A new pre-school is to open in Harrogate to deliver tailor-made flexible, full day care for youngsters and their busy families.

Coppice Valley Primary Academy is very excited to be launching Little Ferns Pre-School next month offering a nurturing environment where they feel safe, happy and ready to explore.

Part of Red Kite Learning Trust, the new pre-school is for children aged 3 and 4 and will be based within a newly-refurbished space at Coppice Valley Primary School.

Thoughtfully designed to create a calm and welcoming environment tailored to the needs of young children, Little Ferns will offer places for 26 children with a warm and nurturing setting where every child is known, valued and supported as an individual.

Running from 7.30am to 6pm, wraparound care will be available from start to finish, including breakfast, and until 6pm, including a light tea, supporting families with flexible childcare throughout the school day.

The new pre-school will be led by an experienced Early Years teacher and a skilled Forest School practitioner, offering a thoughtful balance of nurturing indoor provision and purposeful outdoor learning.

Outdoor learning and curiosity sit at the heart of pre-school life at Little Ferns as part of Coppice Valley’s eco-school ethos.

Children will benefit from daily opportunities to explore, discover and learn through meaningful outdoor experiences, including Forest School sessions and access to the wider school grounds. These experiences will help to develop confidence, resilience, independence and a love of learning from an early age.

Little Ferns Pre-School will be officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Coppice Valley Primary Academy on Tuesday, September. 8
