FIREFIGHTERS were called to a York playground last night after part of the equipment was set on fire.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service says its crew from Acomb were called to a play area in the city at 8.46pm yesterday evening (August 17) after reports of a fire that involved ‘a tyre which formed part of the play equipment’.

- Person trapped inside concrete tank in North Yorkshire village“ Backpack sprayer and bucket of water used to extinguish,” said a spokesperson for the service.
They added police were informed about the fire.
