A music festival is set to bring live entertainment to a pub garden in Ripon.
Magstock will take place on Bank Holiday Saturday, August 29, at The Magdalens, starting at 2pm and featuring seven live acts.
Inspired by the well-known 1969 Woodstock festival, landlord Gary Jenner said: "That’s why we chose the name Magstock for our festival.
"It’s a world apart from the size and scale of Woodstock, but we will have a stage for performers and a professional sound system, alongside the outside bar and catering provided by Suckling Pig, Fork on the Road and with Tilly’s Tumbles providing sweets for children."
This will be the first music event hosted in the garden since Gary and his wife Hayley took over the pub in November.
The line-up includes The Monktoneers, Just Odd, Freddie Cleary, Rough Cut UK, Desperado, Captain and the Bear, and Broken Empire.
Lilla Bathurst, Ripon BID manager, said: "Magstock is their biggest venture so far at the Magdalens and I hope that it is a tremendous success."
Each act will perform a one-hour set.
Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £5 for under-16s and are available via The Magdalen’s Facebook page or by emailing brownjh@hotmail.co.uk.
