Four people have been arrested following an incident on a cycle path in York.
Police officers were called by the ambulance service at about 11.10am on Saturday, August 15, after a disturbance involving a group of people off Wigginton Road.

Two of those involved were injured in the incident, police said.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "One was treated at hospital for minor knife wounds, and the other for more serious injuries believed to have been caused by a wooden implement.
"The four arrested include three 16-year-old boys and a 64-year-old man, all on suspicion of wounding with intent.
"All four have been released on police bail."
Police cordons were put up at the scene on Saturday, barring prevent people from getting onto the Foss Islands Path near the junction of Crichton Avenue and Wigginton Road.

The path passes under Wigginton Road bridge and forms part of the orbital cycle path that leads in different directions to New Earswick, Haxby, Heworth, Tang Hall and Osbaldwick.
Officers were seen guarding the sealed off area while a police vehicle was parked up at the junction with Dennings Mews, a small residential cul de sac.

The police tape had been lifted by Sunday morning when a runner using the route told The Press he'd seen the police activity the previous day which he described as 'unexpected' in that area but said all signs of any incident had gone by Sunday: "You'd never know anything had happened there."
During the police investigation, a spokesperson for York Cycle Campaign Group said: "This is a prominent cycle route used by many people to get safely through this area avoiding busy roads.
"Obviously we need to let police do what they need for their investigations, so please respect police cordons in the area."
