Images have been released of a man police would like to speak to after two women were assaulted on a city centre night spot.
Detectives investigating the incident at Jalou, in Newcastle, have released these images after a woman was said to have been verbally abused by a man at the Neville Street venue, at about 2.15am on Saturday 27 June.
When a friend intervened in a bid to de-escalate the situation, the man then punched both women in the face.
Both victims suffered swelling and extensive bruising, including to their eyes.

The man being sought in connection with the incident is believed to have links to the Birmingham area.
Police would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information which could assist their investigation.
