Offenders stole more than £8,000 worth of equipment from a vehicle in York during an overnight raid.
Police have released a CCTV image of someone they want to speak to as part of their investigation into the incident which happened overnight between July 7 and July 8, 2026 on Burton Stone Road.
The CCTV image, which shows a person with their face covered and is of poor quality, was released in the hope someone may recognise the individual from their clothing, build, or overall appearance.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "The footage has been provided by a third party and, as such, we have no control over how it was recorded or the quality of the images captured.
"The suspect has their face covered, and this is the best image we have been able to obtain.
"We appreciate that the image quality is distorted; however, we are hoping that someone may recognise the individual from their clothing, build, or overall appearance."
The police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Burton Stone Road area overnight between July 7 and July 8, and may have seen anything suspicious.
They are also interested in any CCTV, doorbell footage, or dashcam footage that could assist their enquiries.
The spokesperson said: "The stolen equipment is valued at over £8,000, and any information, no matter how small it may seem, could help identify those responsible and bring them to justice."
