A new Christmas adventure is heading to Pocklington Arts Centre.

The festive show, penned by Elizabeth Godber, will feature songs, local references, and family-friendly fun.

This year's production - which runs from December 11 to 24 - will follow the journey of Sparkle, a fairy unsure of her true calling, as she embarks on a quest to discover her destiny.

Accompanied by her best friend Fitz, the duo will navigate the fairy grotto, meeting various fairies, including the famous Sugar Plum Fairy.

The show is presented by the team behind previous productions, Jingle All The Way and Jack Frost's Christmas Wish, promising another heart-warming adventure.

Early bird tickets are set to be released at 10am on Friday, 11 September, and will be available at last year's prices for a limited period.

The arts centre is urging families to book early to enjoy the festive experience.

A spokesperson for Pocklington Arts Centre said: "Christmas will be here before we know it and we’re already working on our brand-new Christmas show.

"Written by Elizabeth Godber and packed full of songs, local references, and festive fun, it’s a magical adventure the whole family will adore."
