Police have launched an investigation after a runner was bitten by a dog in Selby.
It happened at about 8.45am last Sunday (9 August) on the riverside path near Selby Swing Bridge, between North Selby and Cliffe.
A runner on the Ouse Bank path passed a man and woman who were walking two dogs off the lead.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “One of the dogs, described as a large mastiff-type breed, similar in appearance to an XL Bully but with longer legs, then ran towards the runner and chased them along the path.
“The dog subsequently bit the runner, causing a graze and damage to their clothing.”
The dog is described as being predominantly white with black patches and a pink nose.
The male owner is described as tall, muscular, bald and wearing a white vest top.
The female owner had brown hair and wore a blue top.
Police are asking any witnesses or people with relevant video footage to get in touch.
